  •  Windows + X and selecting Control Panel.
  • Open File Explorer Options. If you don’t see the icon for it, change the control panel view (in the upper right corner) to large or small icons.
  • Navigate to the View tab.
  • Uncheck “Hide extensions for known files types” options
