Step 1: Make sure that speaker and headphones are connected to PC properly.
Improper or loose connection between audio devices (speakers or headphones), computer may cause poor sound quality issue. You can find audio ports on the front and back panel of computer (desktop) and side panel of laptop.
As shown in the image the speaker or headphone jack should be connected the green audio port in front or to back panel also you can switch audio jack between front and back panel to make sure the ports are not causing the issue.

- Press Windows + R key together to bring up run command.
- Type as devmgmt.msc (Device manager).
- Scroll down to Sound, video and game controller > Right click Properties.
- From Driver tab, Click Roll Back Driver as shown in the image.
